I got my first digital SLR.

Im so happy because I got my first digital SLR camera. A Nikon D60 with the standard 18 - 55 mm.

In 2000 I did traditional dark room analog photography at school as an extra subject, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ive always wanted to get into photography since then, but due to lack of finances and other commitments depriving me of time, the passion slowly regressed. Until a few months ago, when we did a short photography course as part of our 2nd year Fine Art cirriculum. - And that photo spark within was reignited.

Ive been loosing sleep, not focusing on work or studies because Ive been browsing websites looking for second hand DSLR's, and, there's a good term for the state of mind or longing I experienced, its called "Gear Lust."

Anyway. I made a little extra cash recently and finally got what Ive been craving. I hope its the first of more to come, and more lenses and equipment. I think it will be.

Oh Ja, I still need to upload the photos I took a few months back.
